The fact that this post, like all of my other "Friday Fives", was technically posted on a Saturday is really depressing. I have timing issues. That probably explains why I haven't gone to bed on a school night before midnight since the first month of school...
In case I don't have access to (aka too busy soaking up the sun... oops! A hint!) my blog while I'm at my mystery location, I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving and hope that you each take time to remember how blessed you are and not just on the 27th, but on everyday after that!
- It's finally Thanksgiving and I'm probably more excited about not having to walk into my high school again for a week than I am for the actual holiday. Actually, I take that back. I reeeeeaaalllly like Thanksgiving. It ranks higher than Christmas for me anyways. Christmas is so commercialized and Santa and his creepy elves are overly-played up. I much prefer Thanksgiving, which is simply taking the time to verbalize your thankfulness in the presence of family or friends with a lot of food. Ohhhhhh pumpkin pie... I'm coming for ya.
- T minus 34 hours 'til departure. (cue your question: "departure to where?") I am SO glad you asked. But unfortunately for you, I'm not going to say. I'm going to save the news of my up-coming trip for a new travel log post on the blog after I return home. Be on the lookout because I hope to have some fun pictures documenting my adventures! Just know that I am extremely excited and may make a few people extremely jealous. #bejelly
- I'm really torn about this snow Idaho has been having. You see, I love snow, but I also adore fall (cue your sarcastic comment: "no, really?"). Yes, really. And I don't appreciate the sarcasm. It is not an endearing quality if you use it against me. Anyways, I feel like my fall got cut short. Mother Nature ripped me off. I miss the vibrant oranges, reds, browns, and yellows, but the sparkling whites are beautiful in their own ways too I suppose.
- Current ear worm: "Bulletproof" by La Roux. Well, not the whole song- just the chorus. Over and over and over again in my head. (cue you singing in an annoying voice: "this time baby, I'll beeee... bullehhhtttt prooooooooffff")Curse the math teacher who decided playing music during class is a good idea. Eh. At least it's better than some of my other recent ear worms like "For The First Time in Forever" from Frozen (actually really embarrassed about this one since that was a horrendous Disney movie), "Lydia" by Two Cow Garage, and "It's a Small World", which may be the catchiest song known to man.
- I always have a go-to Saturday outfit. It's something comfy, semi-stylish, and easy to wear. I pick it out and wear the exact same outfit every single weekend until there is a dramatic change in the weather. Basically, you're learning that I am probably either the most boring girl ever, or the smartest one. Think! No rummaging through your closet on Saturday, no needing to tear everything out, no needing to try on eighteen and a half outfits to find the best one. You just pull out a few things, slip 'em on, and call it good. My current "Saturday outfit" consists of thrifted dark jeans, a gorgeous, warm, powder blue Thredup sweater, a gifted grey infinity scarf, and my comfiest pair of Target clearance cream ballet flats. I'm so cheap and I love it. Thrifting for the win.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
