Anyways, it's been awhile since I've done a "Friday Five" (for all you new comers, that's just five quick details concerning my life) so I figured that I'd write up one of those for today! Here we go!
- Seven and a half weeks until summmmaaaaa. Out of all four seasons, summer is definitely not my favorite, but the moment schoolwork starts piling on I develop a fondness for it. I mean, I am swamped with biology packets, conic equations, and inter design presentation boards. Summer (and most importantly, no school) can come any time now.
- Aaaaannndddd..... another Bible study book is done! It's only taken my Bible study group of three a little over a year to finish "Not a Fan" by Kyle Idleman. It took us a small eternity to complete our third book together so I don't completely remember what each chapter was about at the beginning, but I would definitely recommend giving it a read. The author is convicting and uses humor throughout, making it a fun read. Two thumbs up for the book, my two Bible study girls, and the incredible amount of caffeine I've consumed during each meeting.
- I've mentioned this in the past, but I am in the process of redoing my bedroom. The last time I redid it was in the fifth grade, so I was in the mood for a bit of a change. I've been waiting to redecorate until I found the bed I wanted (the beautiful IKEA Lillesand) and I finally bought it off of Craigslist in Portland, Oregon. One looonnggg road trip and eight pages of confusing IKEA instructions later and I had my Lillesand bed. Wooooohooooo! After putting the bed together, I actually ended up moving rooms which has been super weird. I've been living in the same room for almost ten years, so being in this new room is quite strange to me! However, I'm really liking it and I especially love all the time my dad and I put in together to make it all happen.
- Let's talk Easter candy. I absolutely love Easter candy. I have a weakness for Peeps, mini Cadbury eggs, adn those big fat Brach's jelly beans. Ohhhh man the jelly beans. Love in a colorful nugget. One of my favorite things to do is to shop the clearance Easter candy post-holiday. It satisfies my thrifty nature and my sweet tooth. Win-win situation.
- Julius Caesar can just go and stab himself (pun intended). I am referring to the Shakespeare play, which I actually kind of enjoyed. However, I did not like the 110 (ish) question test we had on it in English on Monday. It would be one thing if it was just long. I can handle that. I do not handle super specific questions very well, especially those that we were not supposed to study for. Here are some examples: "What were the names of the three people that did not assist Brutus in suicide?" (ummmm waahttt), "This play covered ___________" (uhhh covered what? Time, themes, characters... WHAT?), and "What aspects of the costumes added to the understanding of the play?" (I repeat.... waahttt?).
Well, that's all I have for you today, but be expecting some new posts in the near future! Oh, and have a very happy FriYAY, SaturYAY, and SunYAY. Much YAY for the weekend, am I right?
