It's the store that never ends. It's the place where the stuff is cheap and the instructions are never clear. It's the best store ever.
What is this place? IKEA.
In case that four letter word doesn't mean anything to you, IKEA is a HUGE Swedish furniture/decor store complete with a dirt cheap food court and everything else you could ever want in life.
I love IKEA. It's bold blue and yellow colors of the building and cheap, modern furniture draw me in and their twisty, turning halls make me stay.
I mean, you get a map when you walk through the doors that tells you the layout of the store.
Seriously, whoever designed IKEA was the most evil genius ever. It's impossible to "just run in" since it's 2 stories and basically keeps going in circles until you reach the checkout, which means by the time you emerge from the store (3 hours later) chances are you're leaving with a car full of unassembled furniture and tired feet.
Anyways, IKEA has failed to come to the lovely state I live in, so whenever I go out of town to somewhere that has one, I take advantage of it.
This spring break I've been in Arizona and stopped by IKEA today. I bought a new mug (ugh couldn't resist), the cutest cat band-aids, a new flour sifter (for my macaron making), 3 delicious Swedish chocolate bars, and a princess cake from the food court. Total cost? About 9 dollars.
THIS is why I love IKEA.
Have you guys been to an IKEA? What's your favorite part?
