I really like writing thank you cards. It's not something expected, so it's fun to surprise people with a thoughtful card that shows that you actually appreciate what they did for you. Also, I wish letter writing didn't go almost completely extinct because nothing beats the feeling when you open the mailbox and there's a sealed envelope with your name on it.
It was my birthday a week ago (February 20th FYI. Next year I'm expecting a gift!) and for once in my life, I was actually on top of writing thank you cards. I finished them Saturday night and sent them out today.
The reason I'm writing this post is to first of all show you how adorable these cards are. I mean, look at them! I got them on an amazing sale at Office Depot. I got them for a penny and may or may not have four more identical boxes of these cards.
The other reason that I'm writing this blog post (already on number eight!) is to thank all of my readers for checking out my blog! I started this blog a few days after my birthday and already have almost 500 page views on it. I'm so excited that you guys seem to be liking it as much as I'm liking working on it!
So, this post is for you, random person. It's a digital thank you note! ☺
Quick change of subject before I'm done for today: I made Earl Grey tea macarons with honey buttercream tonight, and though they don't taste bad, I'm extremely disappointed that no feet formed and that a few don't have the characteristic chew of a French macaron. Grrrrr... It makes me so mad. I'll have to try again either this weekend or next week and take pictures of my pretty ones for you! ☺
Do you still write letters? Or have you completely gone digital?
