Bonjour readers! Today, I wanted to show off some of my favorite thrifty finds from the last few weeks. I've been hitting up thrift stores and dollar aisles like no one's business and I have some great things to show for it.
Without further to do, here's my cheap haul!

The Target dollar aisle is my favorite thing in the history of ever. Especially with all of their fun crafty supplies they keep getting in.
For a measly little dollar, less than a third of the cost for a tasty, tasty Starbucks nonfat caramel latte with cinnamon sprinkles, you can treat yourself to the most adorable little knick-knacks. A dolla makes me holla honey boo boo child.
Last month, I could not turn down the cute goods in the dollar aisle and ended up coming home with a pack of six mini gel pens, a blank mint and gold polkadot notebook, and a pack of thank you cards (not pictured since I used them all after my birthday last month). The gel pens are perfect for doodling and since sketching has become a new favorite pastime since the buying of the pens, the journal was an obvious need. I had been looking for a journal without lined pages so I could draw in it, and this adorable dollar version was just perfect!

Guys. Can sweater weather never end? Puhleaseeeee?
Fall and winter are the best seasons and I'm already dreading the warming of the weather in the upcoming weeks. Temperatures over 65 equals no more cozy sweaters because then you sweat and that's gross. However, that fact didn't stop me from dishing out a nice $3.20 for this lovely cream one. I found it smushed between two hideous cardigans at Goodwill that deserved to be there if you know what I'm sayin'.
Anyways, this Forever 21 knit sweater was in great condition and is super comfortable. I love it and hope to get more use out of it next year when the temperatures drop back down.

Okay... I'm slightly embarrassed to share these next two items with you.
Why? Oh... you know... maybe because I found them lying around out in public and took them. Maybe.
No shame in my game since they were free.
This cream hair bow was a lovely high school hallway find that just needed a little cleaning and sanitizing on the clip before it became acceptable to put in my own locks. After doing that it became my new go to accessory.
How did I not own a bow before? I feel so classy and feminine with this bad boy (girl?) dressing up my sloppy ponytails.

My second "borrowed" item was this black knit scarf. I love the colorful flecks in it and how toasty warm it makes me. I was in New York for my Sweeet Sixteen in the freeeeezinnngggg cold and was trying to warm my hands and face in vain while riding on the subway when I saw it. A welcoming, fuzzy lump occupying the seat across from me.
At that point, I would have taken a half-empty coffee cup if it had the promise of warming my numb hands so taking a scarf wasn't that weird. In comparison.
When I got back home I tossed that baby in the washing machine and now it goes perfectly with my Thredup-ed denim shirt and thrifted black Chucks (more on my collective Thredup haul in an upcoming post!). And it's super warm. Per-fect.

Aaaaannnnddd another freebie!
Please don't get completely grossed out. I didn't find this lotion laying around on the floor- I do have some dignity after all.
No, I get coupons from Bath & Body Works about once a month in the mail and one of them is always for something free. This month's free item was a travel-sized lotion or body wash from their signature collection. I have a lot of favorites at B&BW, but apparently a lot of other people had received the same coupon because the store only had three scents left- none of which were my one of my favorites. So, I settled for a mini sweet pea scented lotion, which has a light springy scent perfect for the weather that Idaho is starting to see (cue my tears and moaning).

Ermigersh. Guys. Look at these adorable mini Essie nail polishes.
They were a recent Goodwill find. Wuuhhhhhtttt?!
I know, I know. I'm good.
Anyways, this is Essie's holiday nail polish set from 2014 and when I saw it unopened with tags at Goodwill for $2.50, I found it very difficult to walk away. And the teeny tiny bottles are so cute.
The colors are perfect for the holidays, but I think they'll work for a majority of the year as well. The beautiful blue is "Butler Please", the wine/plum shade is "Bahama Mama" (one of my favorites in the set!), the smokey grey color is "Smokin' Hot", the pale pink is "Mademoiselle" (this is perfect for French manicures because the color is kind of sheer), the sparkle polish is called "Jazzy Jubilant", and this Essie set is just fabulous. Two fiddy well spent.

Also, you know those miraculous little strips of tied elastic that have become every girl's favorite hair tie? Well, I love them. They're soft and creaseless and magical. But they always cost about $5 for a three pack and that's a little harsh.
Solution? The Dollar Tree. I was actually pretty surprised by this, but I found a card of six creaseless elastic hair ties for just one dollar.
BOOM.
The quality is the same and the price is ideal. I repeat: BOOM.

My last items in this haul are three L. M. Montgomery novels that I picked up at my local Savers thrift store. I am a tad in love with Montgomery (author of the Anne of Green Gables series and more) and her beautiful writing style, so when I saw these three short story collections by her, I instantly threw them into my cart. I didn't even check the price until I got to the cash register when I was pleasantly surprised by the $1.50 total for the three books.
Yayayayayayayayayay.
Classics for life.

That's the end of my cheap haul for today! I just wanted to show you all that you don't have to be throwing down a ton of money on stuff from the mall to make a good purchase. Sometimes staying thrifty, being open to new things, and exploring different places works out just fine!
