Trigonometry was created by the devil.
Every year in math, we do some sort of trig unit, and my Algebra 2 class (oh, yeah, that's right! Double advanced baby!) just got to ours.
And. It. Sucks.
I think math is hard enough with numbers. It gets a tad trickier with letters. But throw in sines, cosines, and tangents, and I want to shoot myself. In twenty years, I will probably never remember how the unit circle works, or what the base values of a 45-45-90 triangle are (if this sounds like Greek to you, don't worry, because I'm taking the class and I still don't understand.), but I will remember how much I hated the 1.5 hour class.
Trig is possibly the dumbest thing ever. I don't understand why knowing any of it is important unless you're an engineer or something, which is not a career path I plan to go down, so there is no purpose to it. All that homework and class time taking notes while blankly staring ahead (btw, the guy sitting in front of me has some really soft looking hair).... wasted on trig.
Trigonometry can go die in a hole. While we're at it, let's toss in science and sonnets and they can die too. Hmmmm.... I have a TON of suggestions for which subjects can beat it.
How about you? What classes are your least favorites?
And while you're typing your really long list for me, be thankful that there are only 55 days until the last day of school, and not all of those are actual school days! HALLEJUAH. PRAAAAAIIIISSSSEEE JESUS.
We can do it guys. #motivationalmonday
Except it's Wednesday. But you get the point.
