I'm a good girl. I don't drink, smoke, or cuss, and I always brush my teeth and try my very best not to fight with my brother.
Okay, that last one is a lie. But besides that, I consider myself a decent child on the outside. However, now and then I give in to temptation. I.... go on a shopping binge. Now, I know that "THOU SHALT NOT SHOP-PETH" isn't on the ten commandments list, but it's pretty much the same as breaking commandment number ten: "THOU SHALL NOT COVET". I'm still working on obeying that one because occasionally, my money begins burning a whole in my pocket and things start to catch my eye. It is then when I get the strong desire to possess lots of random stuff. There. Now you know that I am a terrible person and that Romans 3:23 is correct.
This also may be why my closet is very full and why I have tons of random things stacked up on shelves that I really need to clean.
Shopping binges aside, I do consider myself a pretty decent shopper, as in I love to thrift and shop during sales. Me and the clearance rack? Yeah, we're friends.
Anyways, I wanted to show you all what I've bought over the last couple of weeks during my latest shopping binge. Everything I purchased was bought at pretty good prices and I really like to brag about that. So, here's what I've splurged on recently!

One of the items that I bought is a Pottery Barn Kids clock from Goodwill.
Did I need a clock?
No.
But I bought it anyways. This is why I really shouldn't go into thrift shops unaccompanied- I come out with the weirdest things. In my defense, I do have plans to use this clock when I redo my room so it wasn't a completely random purchase.
PB Kids clock: $6

During the summer, I do a lot of reading. A LOT of reading. In fact, just in the past four days I've finished five books and am working on the sixth.
One of my absolute favorite authors is Erynn Mangum. She writes Christian-fiction, usually with some sort of romantic and humorous elements to it. I own every single book and novella she has cranked out and have read them all multiple times.
I could never grow tired of her writing style. She's one of the only people who can make me actually laugh out loud.
Anyways, I actually owned both of these books (one I had on Kindle, and the other I loaned out to a friend but never got back), but I felt like I should own them both in paper back.
So, I splurged and bought "Matchpoint" and "Paige Torn" by Erynn Mangum from an amazing website called abebooks.com.
I'm pretty sure I have single-handedly paid for Erynn Mangum's house with all of the books I've bought from her. You're welcome Erynn. I'm expecting a Christmas card and a character named after me in return.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to share with you all a website I recently discovered: abebooks.com. People from all over the world can sell their new and used books, and the prices can't be beat.
I purchased two books (both are about $15 each brand new) for around $3 dollars each with free shipping.
If you are looking for a book, look no further than abebooks.com because you really can't get much better than a $3 book.

Onto my next spurge of the month!
Guys. Have you ever tried those Pirouette wafer stick things? They're those wafer-tubes with a creamy chocolate-y center that come in a tall can. I hope you know what I'm talking about.
I buy myself cans of those pretty regularly and snack on them until I'm out which usually takes a few months. I had actually just run out the day before so when I was walking through the Marshall's clearance aisle (see! I told you the clearance racks and I are buds!) and spotted these.... ooooooohhhh!
They were magnificent tiramisu wafer sticks (not the Pirouette brand, but they're exactly the same)!
WHAT.
AND THEY WERE ON CLEARANCE.
Life that day could not get any better. I mean, chocolate, coffee, and wafer sticks on sale? Consider commandment number ten broken.
Tiramisu wafer stick-y things: $2.50

The next few things are all clothes because a girl's gotta have a full closet. Am I right ladies?
I bought a super soft graphic crop top (but not too cropped! I have that good girl image to keep up, remember?) from Aeropostale while walking through the mall today. It's from the Bethany Mota summer collection, so since they're just now getting in their fall/back-to-school stuff, it was on sale! Woohoo!
Except for the back-to-school stuff coming in. Boo!
But in case you haven't noticed, I really like sales.
I also really like this shirt. It's sooooo soft and cute!

I honestly have no idea what that means. "Life is yummy"?
Maybe it's like those "life is good" tee shirts. I don't know. The only difference as far as I can tell is that this has a burger on it, which automatically makes it superior.

I also bought a pair of white shorts from American Eagle. I wasn't planning on buying them. I was actually trying to find out if they had a different pair of shorts available in my size so I made the mistake of asking one of the workers to help me. They didn't have the pair I was looking for so the lady ran to the back and started looking for other shorts in my size. When she didn't come up with anything close to what I wanted, she offered to order the white pair for me. At that point, I felt so bad that she had been running around looking for stuff for me, that I just said yes. Yes to the white shorts.
At least they're cute.
Also, I had so many gift cards at American Eagle, plus a 20% coupon that I hadn't used, so the shorts ended up being free (sort of. But I didn't pay for the gift cards so they were free to me!).

The last thing I bought that was shown in that last picture, was a pair of black high top Converse from Goodwill. If you've been following my blog at all, you might be wondering why on earth I bought myself another pair of black high tops since I had thrifted a pair in a previous blog post: Thursday's Thrift Haul (click here to reread it!).
I'm not a hoarder. I swear.
I actually bought these for a friend who was looking for a pair. See? I'm a good friend.
Black high top Converse: $8 (but I was paid back. So really, this doesn't count as one of my splurges!)

Lastly, I went ahead and bought a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans because apparently, I am very ready for fall.
I love autumn.
The sweatshirt was originally from Old Navy, but I picked it up from an ebay store with the intent to wear it in an outfit inspired by Pinterest.
Old Navy sweatshirt: $12
The jeans are dark rinse American Eagle jeggings, but I thrifted them from a Goodwill on a day that they were half off the Goodwill price.
Basically, I got them pretty dang cheap.

In case you haven't been keeping a running total, this shopping binge came out to cost me around $35.50 (not counting the Converse since I was reimbursed for those). Not too terrible, I guess.
Ooh! I also got a Scrabble game from a garage sale for free. I gave it to my mother though because I am a good girl.
That is, if you look over my coveting and shopping binges...
Eh. Until next time!
